Is it possible to go from a 4:09 marathon PR to Sub 3 when you’re in your 40’s? What would a realistic timescale to achieve this goal be if it is possible? And how do you know if it is something that could be possible?

One can definitely improve a lot

I did my first marathon about the age of 40 with 3:56

My last marathon was 3:06, six months ago at the age of 50 (and some change)

You don’t have to wait for so many years, I simply had enough of the marathon bug for many years before I came back

My last one was with the HMM advanced plan
