    Hi folks

Im currently in the 10th week of the Classic Beginner HHM plan. Ive had my “crunchiness” in my left knee really start to act up. Usually I can adjust a bit but I had to cut my run short on Sunday and have decided to take a couple of days of to let it subside a bit, while I really start targeting quads etc with a foam roller to loosen things up. The problem is Im missing my Speed workout today and Im not sure about my Tempo work in a couple of days.

I guess my question is, do I go about making up those SOS workouts somehow? Later this week I have easy runs but then have my longest run of the plan, 12 miles, on Saturday. Was just curious how folks deal with this in regard to training, making up missed workouts etc

    Thanks!

I had to miss a few workouts this past training cycle. I did not try to make them up; I just moved on.

Thanks for follow-up. It’s been a mixed bag. I was actually able to do my Tempo run yesterday, as, for some reason, picking up the pace doesn’t bother the knee. Today though was an “Easy” which Indid 4 miles instead of 5 miles because the knee was bugging a bit. It seems my gait at the slower pace has more of an effect than when aim picking up the pace. So weird. Tomorrow I have a 12 miler on the docket. I’m spending the day stretching out the hammy and quads to try to loosen up that area.
